These terms cover your use of the Zack BookForge Android app. Installing or using the app means you accept them. They are short on purpose.
What the app is
Zack BookForge turns PDFs and images you already have into readable books on your phone, and lets you browse and download books that other people have published through Explore Books. Most of it works with no account and no internet connection.
Your content is yours
The files you import stay yours. We claim no ownership of them and no licence over them, and we do not read them. They live in the app's private storage on your phone, and — if you switch the backup on — in your own Google Drive.
What you agree not to do
- Import or publish material you do not have the right to use. You are responsible for the copyright status of everything you put into the app.
- Publish anything unlawful, hateful, or sexual material involving minors, through Explore Books.
- Attempt to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, or to reach other people's data.
Publishing to Explore Books
Submitting a book creates a public listing carrying its title, author, description, category and your display name. Submissions are reviewed before they appear. We may decline or remove any listing, at our discretion and without notice, and we will remove your own listings on request.
By submitting, you confirm you hold the rights to distribute that material, and you grant us permission to host and distribute it through the app for as long as the listing stands.
Google Drive backup
The backup is optional and writes into your Drive, using
your storage quota. The app uses Google's
drive.file permission, which reaches only files the app
itself created. Keeping your own copies remains your responsibility;
we cannot recover a file you delete from your Drive.
Availability
The app is provided as it is, with no guarantee that it is free of faults or always available. Explore Books depends on a server that may be offline, changed or discontinued. Nothing here limits any rights you have under the consumer law of your own country.
Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost data, lost profit, or indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app. Back up anything you cannot afford to lose.
Ending it
You may stop using the app and uninstall it at any time; that deletes everything it stored on your phone. We may suspend access for anyone who breaks these terms.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them, and anything that materially affects you will be announced in the app before it takes effect.
